Martijn Proos
Trustee
Martijn is a trustee of Water Unite. He has over 17 years of infrastructure finance experience gained in various advisory, project, corporate and structured finance roles in both emerging and developed markets.
As a Director at Ninety One (formerly Investec Asset Management), he is involved in the management of the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF), a USD 1bn developmental to infrastructure fund providing long term debt capital to a broad range of infrastructure sectors in Africa. He has been working with EAIF since 2008.
Prior Ninety One, he worked at Dutch Development Bank FMO in its Africa Infrastructure department. Prior to that he held finance and advisory roles at T-Mobile Netherlands and Tebodin Consultants & Engineers. Martijn has a deep understanding of development finance and funding models for the WASH sector.
Martijn holds an MSc in Business Administration from Nyenrode Business University, The Netherlands.
