Kate Bohnert

Business Development Manager at Sanivation

Kate Bohnert is the Business Development Manager at Sanivation, where she oversees investor relations and communications. With over seven years in sanitation, she recognizes the challenges the sector is facing in terms of development. As a result, she is actively creating strategies to secure innovative financing to reach more people through sustainable sanitation.

Based in Kenya, Sanivation develops and operates sanitation infrastructure for fast-growing secondary cities in East Africa. They’re seeing traction in an undersaturated and undervalued market due to their innovative and cost-effective waste-to-energy approach, which has been recognized by the World Bank, Gates Foundation, and the US Patent Office.

Kate holds a BS in Biology from the University of Missouri and a Masters in Public Health from Emory University.
